I want to start by apologizing for my haphazard posting these days! Being the host city for one of the best events of the year “International Natural Hair Meet-Up Day” Curly, Kinky & Coily in the Capitol. This will be Austin, Texas’ 1st big natural hair meet-up event. I hope to see some of you there. You can visit http://inhmdcoilykinkycurlyinaustin.eventbrite.com to get your tickets.
Any who, “The Curl”, from the Transitioning Movement.com has returned. This is a great website for anyone that is natural or that is a new natural. “The Curl” is a set of 4 videos that look at the transitioning movement, natural hair, and how we experience it from the viewpoint of different women with different textures. Episode 4 was posted recently and I wanted to make sure that I made it available for everyone.
In this episode maintaining moisture is discussed. This is the most important part of being a natural. I can surely testify in regard to natural hair. Moisture helps to ensure that your hair gets all the nourishment it needs and deters breakage. There is information on how to best retain moisture, as well as the best oils to use. These women come from all walks of life and each of them have different textures of hair. So check it out and I hope that this can be valuable information for some of you.
