As we go into the New Year and the beginning of winter, we must be mindful that are hair with its already dry tendency can be much worse in the winter months.  So how are you keeping your hair moisturized?  Because our natural hair is already more fragile in its natural state we have to be sure to keep it healthy by moisturizing.

Deep Conditioning is also another great method to ensure that your hair is moisturized during the winter.  It will also help to lay those cuticles down, condition your hair, and make your hair look shinier and smoother.  You can even purchase deep conditioning dryers at Sally’s Beauty Supply for around $60.

You can even do your typical hot oil treatment.  You can do this weekly if choose to help heal dry brittle hair and ends.  A hot oil treatment prior to shampooing or co-washing will give your hair more moisture. Finally, you want to make sure that you are consistent so that your hair will reap the benefits of these treatments.  Because you will not immediately see results, you should continue to utilize these methods on a regular basis to see healthy, long, beautiful natural tresses.
