A New Year Should Bring New Life & Change

Hey Natural Rockers!

As I sit her this morning I was thinking on what to post today.  There is a lot to look back on from 2012, but there is more to look forward to in 2013.  I am seeing a lot of people now becoming concerned with the Fiscal Cliff.  Many of whom have no idea what it is or why it is of importance other than if their checks will be smaller.  I have to ask myself if these same people are preparing to better their lives in some way (starting a successful business, getting more education, advancing on their current job).  But, I hate to see that this is probably not the case.  In 2013 we should begin on January 1st by recognizing that you are here for a reason.  Then figure out why you are here.  Know that you were beautifully created in his image.  You with your kinky hair, straight hair, short hair, long hair, tall, skinny, big-boned, light, dark, smart, kind of smart, single, divorced, or whatever you may be.

Educate your self on the political process so that you know what our president can or cannot do.  So that know that when a bill on healthcare is passed it not only includes healthcare laws but student law changes, social security changes, military budgeting changes or whatever is included in that particular law.  Find out more about your natural hair, how it behaves, how to care for it, and how spread the word to others.  Learn how to become healthier for you, your family, and how to live a longer healthier life.

Stop focusing on the past and what happened to you, who did whatever to you, and what you should have done but did not do.  Don’t blame your mistakes on others but look in the mirror and accept responsibility.  Quit saying I’ll get to that next week or tomorrow, because you may not have tomorrow.   On yesterday, December 27, 2012, my  mom witnessed a small child die being crushed between a wrecker truck and car in Houston.   People ran over to take pictures with their cell phones, why?  She was only about 5 to 7 years old.  It really hurt my mom and we had to check on her all day yesterday.  Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, so live life to the fullest and thank God for every day that you have here on this earth.  Tell your loved ones that you love them everyday because they may not be there for you to say it tomorrow.

All I am saying is that you should go into the New Year with a plan in mind, praising God, loving everyone, rejecting anything negative, and with rocking natural hair style :).
