Tresses Kinks & Twists

“Where Going Natural Means Going Back Home”

Each and every one of us has a different style or way of wearing our hair.  Tresses Kinks & Twists is a blog for those who have recently made the decision to take the natural hair journey back home to who we are or who have completed the natural hair journey.  Natural hair can be frustrating for those of us who have just begun the process.  If you have donned natural hair for some time now, then you know exactly what I mean by frustrating.  We hope that this blog will help you in making your decision to go natural or help you through your own natural journey with tips, information, product reviews, style videos, and much more. The natural hair journey can be fun and life-changing. Not only do many women decide to go back home to natural hair, but many make life style changes. I hope that your journey is life-changing as well. Browse our site and leave some input on how we can better the site or if there is information that we have not included.

Vincent Van Gogh said it best; “The beginning is perhaps more difficult than anything else, but keep heart, it will turn out all right.”

  1. Thank you for writing about My Natural Coiffure. You are definitely an expert in this area! If you have some time, I would appreciate it if you could visit my blog on free vin check, thank you!

  2. Your post was very insightful. I really appreciate you taking your time out to write this wonderful post. I have a blog as well that writes about find imei number. Have you heard of IMEI Check before?

  3. It was really nice meeting you today Bridgett!! I did my big chop June 28, 2012. I also had my 7 year old daughter (Giovanna) do the big chop as well. It is nice to know that there are others in the Austin Area that are natural :-)!!!

    • Hi Bridgett! I just wanted to say hi and let you know that the natural hair event will occur in about 2 weeks. Don’t miss out on your chance to meet some wonderful ladies with natural hair like us and the opportunity to get some goodies for your hair. Hope to see you there! Have a blessed day.

  4. I really enjoyed the Natural Hair Meet up day. It was very inspiring and informational. And I was so impressed with you choosing to share your BC with all of us. That was so touching!!! What a proud moment for all of us. Even though you didn’t have much to cut, sharing that vulnerable moment with us was amazing! What was the stylist name again, did you include her info in the goodie bag? I can’t thank you enough for all your efforts. Looking forward to the next one.

    • I am so glad you enjoyed it Tina. I know she did not cut a lot but like you said it was still an experience for me, because now my length is somewhat shorter. So, I have to look to new styles and styling methods. I hope that you can attend other events as we present them. The stylists name is Tasha and she works out of the Hair Clinic on Guadalupe. Their number is (512) 608-4016.
